Description

Macaca arctoides is a species of the genus Macaca.Individuals of the species Macaca arctoides are found in South Asia.In India,they are to the south of the Brahmaputra River,in the northeast of the country.Its presence in the country extends from Assam and Meghalaya to eastern Aruanchal Pradesh,Nagaland,Manipur,Mizoram and Tripura.Although they eat primarily fruits,they also eat various types of vegetation - such as seeds,leaves and roots - and crabs,frogs,bird eggs and insects.
