Description

The auriga butterflyfish ( Chaetodon auriga ) is a species of marine fish of the genus Chaetodon.It is a shy fish that hides during part of the day in holes of rocks or between coral colonies.The population of the Red Sea has no ocellus in the dorsal fin,and,in fact was considered a subspecies: Chaetodon auriga setifier (Bloch,1795),is currently considered by most scientists as a regional variant within the same species.
