Decken’s sifaka

Description

The sifaka Decken ( Propithecus deckenii A.Grandidier,1867 ) is a lemur belonging to the family Indriidae.Like all lemurs,it is endemic to Madagascar.They are medium to large lemurs: they have an average length of 92-107 cm and a weight of 5-6.5 kg.The tail is 42-48 cm long.The face is hairless and black,while the eyes are orange-dark.The hair is cream-white,with golden,greyish or brown hues in the dorsal area.
