Description

Machimia metagypsa is a moth in the Depressariidae family. It was described by Turner in 1946. It is found in Australia, where it has been recorded from Western Australia. The wingspan is about 22 mm. The forewings are pale grey with pale fuscous markings. The first discal spot is found at one-third and the plical spot beyond it. The second discal spot is found before two-thirds and there is some fuscous sprinkling between the second discal spot and the tornus. The hindwings are white.
