Scythris rivigera

Description

Scythris rivigera is a moth of the Scythrididae family. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1911. It is found in Namibia, South Africa (Limpopo, Gauteng), Zimbabwe and Yemen. The wingspan is 11–12 mm. The forewings are grey, very obscurely streaked on the veins with ochreous-whitish, the fold more or less distinctly suffused with whitish. There is an indistinct line of darker or blackish grey scales above the middle from near the base to near the second discal stigma and the plical and second discal stigmata are indistinct and blackish, the plical elongate, beneath the middle of the wing, the second discal at three-fourths. The hindwings are rather dark grey.
