Description

The magnificent bird of paradise ( Cicinnurus magnificus ) is a species of passerine bird in the family Paradisaeidae.The magnificent bird of paradise inhabits the montane forests and hills of New Guinea and neighboring islands ( Salawati and Yapen ).Its diet consists mainly of fruits.Like most members of the Paradisaeidae family,the male is polygamous and has an elaborate courtship dance.It is a common species in the area where it lives and IUCN considers it a species of lesser concern.
