Description

The ' Skylark ( Alauda arvensis Linnaeus,1758 ),also known as the lark is a bird passerine of the family of Alaudidae.The lark is about 16-18 cm long,has a wingspan that can reach 36 cm and weighs about 35-45 g.It is characterized by a plumage of brown color slightly streaked with black in the upper part,lighter in the lower part,as well as by a small erectile tuft that shows only if alarmed.In flight it shows a short tail and wide short wings.The tail and the back of the wings are edged in white.The sexes are similar.
