Anaxyrus baxteri is a herbaceous species first described by Porter in 1968.It is part of the genus Anaxyrus and the family toads.No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life.The species is extinct in a wild state,but survives in captivity.The species has a dark brown,greenish to gray upper side with small dark spots,small warts and an unclear centerline.Sometimes it can also have longitudinal strains.The belly is also spotted;The cocks usually also have a dark throat.At most,they are just under 7 cm long.The paddock is consistently dark.
