Description

Anaxyrus nelsoni is a herbaceous species first described by Leonhard Hess Stejneger in 1893.It is part of the genus Anaxyrus and the family of paddies.No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life.The upper side is yellow-orange to olive green with warts and black spots that can flow together into a crisp pattern.Along the center it has a bright longitudinal trim.The waistcoat is whiteish with scattered,darker spots that tend to flow together at the legs so that it appears that the padda has pants.The females are larger,9 to 12 cm in length against the 7.5 to 9 cm male.
