Malbrouck monkey

Description

The Malbrouck vervet ( Chlorocebus cynosuros ( Scopoli,1786 )) is a primate of the Cercopithecidae family The length of the body is between 40 and 60 cm,while the tail can reach 70 cm;the weight varies between 4 and 6 kg;as for the other species of the genus the males are larger than the females.The body color is gray-green on the dorsal side and almost white on the ventral side;the snout is black and the white stripe characteristic of the genus is clearly visible on the forehead;besides also the cheeks are clear.The males,as in the other congeners,present a characteristic bluish coloring of the scrotum which contrasts with the bright red color of the penis
