Description

The Northern pudu or pudu Mephistopheles is the smallest species of deer real. With two subspecies,it is widespread in Colombia and Peru,where it colonizes the mountain forests and the savannah at an altitude between 2,000 and 4,000 m. Measure at most 65 cm of length and 35 cm at the withers. Little or nothing is known about the habits of this animal,however it is believed that they are not very dissimilar to those of the congener Pudu puda.
