Parachromis dovii

Description

Parachromis dovii, the guapote, rainbow bass, or wolf cichlid, is a species of cichlid native to Central America where it occurs on both slopes of Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. This species grows to a length of 72 cm (2.4 ft) TL. This carnivorous species is important to local commercial fisheries and is sought after as a gamefish.
