The four-lined snake ( Elaphe quatuorlineata ( Bonnaterre,1790 ) ) is a snake of the family of It is the longest Italian snake and one of the longest in Europe.Its length can vary from 80 to 240 cm,even if it rarely exceeds 160.It is brownish-yellowish with the characteristic four dark longitudinal bars (hence the scientific name)
