The dibbler has a head-body length of 14 cm and a tail of 8-11 cm;weighs 40-100 g.Like other members of the Dasiuridae family,it has a distinctive pointed snout,well-developed canines,6-7 sharpened back teeth and large feet with sharp claws.The small muriform body is covered by a treacherous gray-brownish fur,with white graying characteristics.The tail is hairy and tapered,and around the eyes there are two characteristic white rings.Females,like those of most marsupials,carry the baby in the baby carrier until they are fully developed
