Description

The Shelley estrilda ( Cryptospiza shelleyi ) is a species of passerine bird of the family Estrildidae endemic to the Great Lakes region of Africa.It is considered a vulnerable species because its population has declined markedly in recent decades,and the total population is estimated at 2,500 to 10,000 individuals.This decline is probably due to deforestation.
