Javan gibbon

Description

The gray gibbon or gibbon of Java or uau uau ( Hylobates moloch Audebert,1798 )) is a primate belonging to the family Hylobatidae,native of the island of Java.The Hylobates moloch is about 80-90 cm tall and weighs 8-9 kg;the two sexes are more or less the same size.It has a silver-gray fur,very bushy and a bluish-black face,framed by light fur.The females have black belly and a spot on the head (which is sometimes visible even in males);in the young the hair is yellowish-white,uniform.Brown eyes are very large and expressive,black eyebrows.
