Description

Callicebus personatus is a species of New World Monkey in the family Pitheciidae and subfamily Callicebinae.It is endemic in Brazil,occurs in the states of Espírito Santo,Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro,south of the Itaúnas River,on the right bank of the Jequitinhonha River,and is found in Minas Gerais in the Doce river basin.Currently,it is very rare in Rio de Janeiro.It has all the face of black color,with rest of the body of brownish color to orange,with the exception of the hands and feet,that are black.
