Description

The molly sulfur ( Poecilia sulphuraria ),known locally under the vernacular name of Molly del Teapa,is a species of fish of the family Poeciliidae.Molly del Teapa has apparently developed the ability to tolerate these toxic conditions,but unfortunately,classified as a species under threat by IUCN in the red list,it is considered as endangered for the moment.This species was discovered in 1948 and is rarely encountered in the hydrological system of Grijalva,Mexico.The male and female can reach up to 5 cm in length.The male has black back,white belly and flanks a little yellow.The female differs just with the flanks which are white unlike the male.
