(Raja clavata)
The spiked breed ( Raja clavata Linnaeus,1758 ) is a species of cartilaginous fish belonging to the Rajidae family.The natural habitat is represented by both the open sea and coastal waters,of Europe,of the Atlantic coast of Africa,probably up to Namibia and South Africa in a bathymetric range that varies from 0 to 100 m.Sometimes it is also seen trapped in large natural pools formed at low tide near large estuaries.
