Caribbean coot

Description

The adults,33-38 cm long,have a short,thin white beak with a reddish brown spot near the end and a white frontal shield.The body is gray with the head and neck darker than the rest of the body.The legs are yellow and have serrated fingers rather than webbed feet.It differs from the American coot as it has red bumps on the top of the frontal shield.
