Description

Rhacophorus margaritifer is a species of frog in the family Rhacophoridae endemic to Java, Indonesia. It is found in mostly in West Java, but is also found in Mount Merapi in Central Java and one site in East Java. Similar to common tree frog, it is locally known in Javanese as bencok or gedindang in Sundanese Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.
