(Asio capensis)
The Moor owl (Asio capensis) is a species of strigifrome bird of the Strigidae family that lives in Africa. The Moor owl is about 35-37 cm long with a wingspan of 82-99 cm.It has a look similar to the country owl (Asio flammeus) which is slightly larger. The plumage of its upper parts is brown, almost without veining, and its undersides are whitish with brownish. It is distinguished from its relative by the uniformity of the brown of its upper parts, since the country owl shows a dense dark veining. The Moor owl has a marked facial disk, has yellow eyes with black irises, and crests in the form of short ears that are usually not visible because they do not usually have bristles. It has long wings that allow it to glide slowly and silently when it hunts.
