Description

Umbra krameri,commonly known as European Umbra,is a small freshwater fish belonging to the Umbridae family.Umbra krameri has an elongated but robust body,with rounded dorsal and ventral profiles,and a slimmer caudal peduncle.The robust and rounded fins.The livery is brown,darker on the back and clear at the belly.A clear horizontal line crosses the hips,while dark patches and thin lines decorate the body.The transparent fins have horizontal lines of brown dots.It reaches a maximum length of 17 cm,but commonly has smaller sizes.
