Description

Narcissus atlanticus is a species of plant from the genus Narcissus (Narcissus) in the Amaryllis family (Amaryllidaceae). Narcissus atlanticus is similar in appearance to Narcissus rupicola but unlike the latter it has creamy white flowers. These have a diameter of 35 millimeters. The secondary crown is 11 millimeters wide but only 6 millimeters high. All horticulturally produced progeny of this species are from a 1936 seed collection in the High Atlas Mountains, Morocco. The plants grew at an altitude of 2000 m in the shade of bushes. Since then, the plants have not been found in their natural habitat. The species was first described scientifically in 1950.
