Catharanthus roseus, commonly known as the Madagascar periwinkle, rosy periwinkle or teresita as it is usually named in the southern part of Mexico, specifically in Champot-n, Campeche and M-rida, is a species of flowering plant in the dogbane family Apocynaceae.
