Linospadix

Description

Linospadix is a genus of flowering plant in the Arecaceae family. It is native to New Guinea and Australia. The genus was described by H. Wendland in H.Wendland & Drude and published in Linnaea 39: 177, 1875. 198. 2 Linospadix : generic name that comes from the Greek words: linon = "linen or yarn" and spadix = inflorescence, in reference to the thin and slender inflorescence.
