Description

Mammillaria perezdelarosae is a species of the genus Mammillaria in the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet honors the Mexican forest engineer and secretary of the botanical institute of the University of Guadalajara Jorge Perez de la Rosa (* 1955). The name Rosa is derived from the Latin and botanic name of the flowering shrub Rose, and also refers to the color pink in many Indo-European languages.
