Helianthemum violaceum ( Cav. ) Pau ("white perdiguera" or "tamarilla") is a species ofwhite flowers belonging to the family of the Cistáceas . It is found in dry grasslands and rocky areas in the center and west of the Mediterranean . In Spain , Portugal , and Morocco . The flowers of H. violaceum appear from March to May at the tip of stems that reach 50 cm in height. The flowers are pentámeras, of 3 cm , of white color with the center and the stamens of yellow color. It has three hairy outer sepals; two sepals are very small; and the flowers grow in groups of 3 to 10 in a stick. The leaves are linear to lanceolate, 3 cm long, in opposite pairs and are covered with grayish to whitish hairs, especially on the reverse, and the edges are rolled.
