The hairless leaves are broadly ovate and 4 to 10 cm long. The leaf margin is divided completely or spear-shaped three-lobed, the base is heart-shaped, forward the leaves are pointed to tapering. The flowering period is from November to February. Few to several flowers stand in a zymous inflorescence, the inflorescens stem of which is about the same length as the flower stalks . The sepals are long-lanceolate, long to the tip long-linear, 10 to 20 mm long, with protruding trichomes finely to bristly hairy. The crown is 2 to 3 cm long, it is blue to violet colored and has a white throat. The fruits are spherical capsules with a diameter of about 8 mm. The seeds are densely covered with short trichomes.
