Sickle Spurge

Description

Euphorbia falcata L. , is a phanerogama species belonging to the family Euphorbiaceae. It's a spurge herbaceous small. The inflorescence has many leaves with very broad and characteristic bracts . The leaves bend over themselves and have a sharp apex with a mucron , just like the bracts. The flowers have semicircular nectaries with very little appendages. The seeds are ornamented, with a dorsal edge marked and crossed transversally.
