Description

It is an annual herbaceous plant with a prostrate stem. The leaves, about half a centimeter long, are opposite and of obovate or oblong-spatulate form. The upper page is glabrous or slightly pubescent, the lower one is densely pubescent. The flowers are small but showy for the violet color, and are worn on short spikes or axillary. The fruit is a loculicide capsule that contains seeds of black color. The flowering period is from April to May.
