Description

Alsobia dianthiflora is a species of Magnoliopsida first described by Harold Emery Moore and RG Wilson, and given the simplified Asian name by Wiehler. Alsobia dianthiflora belongs to the genus Alsobia, and the family Gesneriaceae. None of these subspecies are listed. Alsobia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Gesneriaceae, native to Mexico, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. It contains two species. The species in the genus are succulent and stoloniferous herbs. They were previously included in the genus Episcia, but recent molecular studies have supported the separation of Alsobia from Episcia.
