Description

Stems tomentose or pubescent with appressed upward pointing or with long patent hairs, sometimes becoming less pubescent as they mature. Leaves petiolate, often shortly so, occasionally or often on short shoots in the leaf axils; blades almost orbicular to elliptic to obovate to � spathulate, 0.9�6 � 0.6�3.5 cm, margins crenate or crenateserrate towards apex, becoming entire towards base, apex obtuse, base attenuate, upper surface densely pubescent but surface not obscured, lower surface tomentose to velutinous, the surface � obscured or occasionally densely pubescent, surface not obscured and venation visible, eglandular; petioles 5�7 mm long, tomentose or velutinous. Inflorescence of 3�16 verticils spaced 3�60 mm apart, forming a dense elongate cluster or laxly spaced; many (>15) flowers per verticil; pedicels 0.5�1.5 mm long, pubescent with appressed hair; bracteoles linear to lanceolate, 3�9 mm long, pubescent with appressed hair
