Description

The shrub has a erect to spreading,densely branched and compact habit.It typically grows to a height of 0. metres (. ft) and a width of 0. m (. ft).The glabrous plant is single-stemmed at the base with spreading main branches bearing many ascending,leafy branchlets with pale stems.Older stems have a covering of reddish-brown,papery bark that peels off in flakes.The leaves are alternate,widely spreading,with a narrowly ovate to almost linear shape.They are approximately to millimetres (0. to 0. in) in length mm (0.0 in) wide.It blooms between September and December producing inflorescences that are erect and terminal to seasonal growth units made up of ? pedunculate,-bracteolate flowers.The plant is distinctive with no obvious close relatives.It superficially resembles Darwinia thymoides,which is found in the same habitat.
