Description

Kunzea micrantha is a flowering plant in the myrtle family,Myrtaceae and is endemic to the south west of Western Australia.The erect shrub typically grows to a height of 0.3 to 3 metres (1 to 10 ft).It blooms between September and December producing pink-purple to white-cream flowers.Often found in wet depressions and marshes in coastal areas of the Wheatbelt,South West and Great Southern regions of Western Australia where it grows in sandy,clay and loamy soils.The species was first formally described by the botanist Johannes Conrad Schauer in 1844 in Johann Georg Christian Lehmann's work Plantae Preissianae
