Description

Psidium cinereum, called katuaba, is a species of plant in the family Myrtaceae. It is endemic to Brazil. It is becoming rare due to habitat loss. A relative of guava, it is sometimes used in herbal concoctions. Psidium is a genus of trees and shrubs in the family Myrtaceae. It is native to warmer parts of the Western Hemisphere (Mexico, Central and South America, the West Indies, Galápagos, and the southern United States).
