Description

It includes terrestrial species and some epiphytic species with erect stems and one or more leaves lanceolate, ovate or elliptic, arranged at the base of the stem. The inflorescence is erect, to spike with a variable mumero of small flowers of variable color from white to yellow to green; sepals and petals are of similar length; the lip is typically largest, often tri-lobed, with a spur short, cylindrical, clavate or scrotiforme; the gimnostemio is short, erect, and contains two granular pollens
