(Bryobium hyacinthoides)
Bryobium hyacinthoides is a species of epiphytic orchid. In the past it was considered synonymous with the genus Eria, but today it has become an accepted name. It is a small orchid that prefers warm weather, with epiphytic or lithophytic habits with groups of pseudobulbs, oblong, basal sheathed, bearing narrow lanceolate, petiolate leaves that are made in pairs towards the apex. It blooms in spring in an upright 25 cm inflorescence with 20 to 40 flowers, a racemose inflorescence with many fragrant, unpleasant-smelling flowers. It is found on the peninsula of Malaysia, Sumatra, and Java, at elevations of 500-1700 meters.
