Description

Campylocentrum poeppigii is an orchid species that was first described by Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach, and got its current name from Robert Allen Rolfe. Campylocentrum poeppigii is part of the genus Campylocentrum and the orchid family. No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life. Campylocentrum is a genus of rare orchids (family Orchidaceae) native to Mexico, the West Indies, Central America and South America. One species (C. pachyrrhizum) extends its range into Florida.
