Description

Differing from the type by the plants being taller (40-50 cm),leaf larger (11-15 x 1-2 cm),the scape bearing 4-6 sheaths,the flowers of a pretty clear red;the lateral sepals 7-9 veined,the petals 3 veined,the labellum of the same form,but sometimes provided on each edge with a lateral tooth basally,the viscidiums very different,rounded apically,creased below and elongated by a wide hyaline lamina marginally;median lobe of the rostellum taller than the anther: stigmas entirely joined between their thick lip,without a median vent;ovary and bracts bearing pedicellate glands.
