Description

Grass perennial,densely tufted,forming dense and hard pads.Stems erect-ascending,sometimes geniculate at knots.Leaves linear or oblaceoladas.Flowers grouped in monocasios;calyx up to 15 mm,ovoids,more or less hairs;petals with limbo of up to 5 mm,bifid,yellowish or reddish.Fruit in pedunculated capsule,ovoidea,that opens by 6 teeth,up to 9 x 6 mm.It blooms in late spring and summer.
