Description

Arctagrostis , is a genus of herbaceous plantsbelonging to the family of the Poaceae . is originally from the Arctic , is located in the marshy tundra of America and Eurasia . It comprises 18 species described and of these, only 2 accepted. The genus was described by August Heinrich Rudolf Grisebach and published in Flora Rossica 4 (13): 434. 1852. 3 The type species is: Arctagrostis latifolia (R.Br.) Griseb.
