Description

Grass perennial , densely tufted, forming large clumps , with great colonizing power. Foliate stems up to 100 cm high. Leaves flaccid, sheathing, up to 0.5 mm wide, characteristically rolled longitudinally when drying. Flowers in panicle of spikelets more or less lax and pyramidal; Spikelets up to 8 mm in length. Fruit in cariopsis .
