Lophatherum , is a genus of herbaceous plantsbelonging to the family of the Poaceae . He is originally fromEast Asia . The name of the genus derives from the Greek words lophos (crest or tuft of hairs) and ather (wheat beard, edge), referring to tufts of barbs in sterile slogans.
