Description

Grove blue grass is found in upland and riparian moist-deciduous-forests from eastern Canada south to the Appalachian mountains; "alsodes" means "of woodlands." It is a loosely tufted-perennial-grass that does not have-rhizomes. A delicate, sparse-inflorescence-(panicle) is produced in May and June.
