Zenkeria, is a genus of herbaceous plants belonging to the family of the Poaceae. He is originally from India, Ceylon, Burma . It comprises 5 species described and accepted. They are perennial plants; Cespitose 60-130 cm high; herbaceous Wide or narrow sheets, 5-25 mm wide, flat, or laminated; pseudopeciolada. Ligule with a fringe of hairs. Bisexual plants, with bisexual spikelets; with hermaphrodite flowers. The paniculate inflorescence; open.
