Description

Grevillea pyramidalis, commonly known as the caustic bush, is a tree or shrub of the genus Grevillea native to an area in the Kimberley and Pilbara regions of Western Australia. The tree or shrub typically grows to a height of 2 to 6 metres (7 to 20 ft) and has non-glaucous branchlets. It has simple linear flat leaves with a blade that is 120 to 410 millimetres (5 to 16 in) long and 5 to 20 mm (0.20 to 0.79 in) wide. It blooms from May to July and produces an axillary or terminal raceme irregular inflorescence with white flowers and styles. Later it forms obovoid glabrous fruit that is 18 to 23 mm (0.7 to 0.9 in) long.
