Description

Petrophile ericifolia is a shrub endemic to Western Australia. The erect, multi-branched and non-lignotuberous shrub typically grows to a height of 0.3 to 1.5 metres (1.0 to 4.9 ft). It blooms between August and November producing yellow flowers. It is found on sand plains, lateritic ridges and sandstone hills in the Wheatbelt and Mid West regions of Western Australia where it grows in sandy-loamy soils. There are two known subspecies: - Petrophile ericifolia subsp. ericifolia - Petrophile ericifolia subsp. subpubescens
