Description

“Pet poisonous” – Toxic parts: entire plant esp. leaves Ranunculus thora is a species of flowering plant in the Mao family. This species was first described by L. in 1753. Ranuncolo Erba-tora (scientific name Ranunculus thora L., 1753 ) is a plant of the Ranunculaceae family of the Italian spontaneous flora. The generic name ( Ranunculus ), passing through the Latin, comes from the Greek Batrachion , and means frog (it is Pliny writer and Latin naturalist, who informs us of this etymology ) as many species of this genus prefer wetlands , shady and swampy, natural habitat of amphibians . The currently accepted scientific binomial ( Ranunculus thora ) was proposed by Carl von Linné(1707-1778), Swedish biologist and writer, considered the father of the modern scientific classification of living organisms, in the publication Species Plantarum of 1753. It is a perennial herbaceous plant, whose average height varies between 10 and 30 cm. The appearance of the plant is glaucous . It is also called biologically rhizomatous geophyte ( G rhiz ), ie it is a plant that carries the gems in an underground position. During the adverse season there are no air organs and the buds are found in underground organs called rhizomes . The whole plant is fundamentally glabrous and free of oil cells.
