Description

Madhuca ochracea is a tree in the family Sapotaceae. It grows up to 25 metres (82 ft) tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 70 centimetres (28 in). The bark is greyish brown. Inflorescences bear up to seven flowers. The specific epithet ochracea is from the Latin meaning "yellowish brown", referring to the indumentum. Its habitat is lowland mixed dipterocarp forest from sea-level to 100 metres (330 ft) altitude. M. ochracea is endemic to Borneo and known only from Sarawak.
